Agastache foeniculum (Anise Hyssop) is a hardy clump forming perennial. Adorned with lovely lavender/ purple flowers that give a bloomin' good show from summer to fall. The tall flower spikes are adored by bees, hummingbirds, butterflies, and beneficial insects. Their square stems bear oval, toothed, dull green leaves that release a pleasant scent of anise when crushed and are edible for use in jellies and herbal teas. Anise Hyssop's long blooming period, striking flower spikes, and resistance to deer make it a favorite among gardeners. This versatile plant is ideal for informal landscapes, herb gardens, butterfly gardens, or meadows, and its lovely flower spikes can be enjoyed in fresh-cut or dried arrangements.
