Apache Plume is one of our showiest native(American southwest) western shrubs. Beginning in late spring and continuing through summer the plant blooms with single white flowers that set fluffy pink seed heads. Drought resistant/drought tolerant plant (xeric). 48" tall x 48" wide, (seed propagated). Everblooming with white, five-petaled flowers, Apache Plume really stands out when the pink, silky plumed seed heads are formed and cover the tips of the branches for many months. Striking when underplanted with low growing ground cover junipers. A moderate to rapid grower in any well-drained soil. Likes the sun and hardy to Zone 4.
Sold in a one gallon pot.
Proudly grown from seed collected at Wild Bloom Nursery, Kelowna, BC.
