Fallugia paradoxa/ Apache Plume
Fallugia paradoxa/ Apache Plume
Apache Plume is one of our showiest native(American southwest) western shrubs. Beginning in late spring and continuing through summer the plant blooms with single white flowers that set fluffy pink seed heads. Everblooming with white, five-petaled flowers, Apache Plume really stands out when the pink, silky plumed seed heads are formed and cover the tips of the branches for many months providing an interesting second act through the winter. Striking when underplanted with low growing ground cover junipers. A moderate to rapid grower in any well-drained soil and is deer resistant.
